Aurora Iceland Twilight

Afternoon and Evening tour for photographers focusing on the Twilight Zone and the Northern Lights. The exact photo locations depend on conditions on the day of tour and can be anywhere within a 200km radius from Reykjavik with the assistance of a trained photographic guide to help you get the best shots.

11:00  Pickup at your hotel

11:30  Photographic briefing.  A briefing with an Icelandic master of photography who will share with you from experience in his techniques in Icelandic twilight and northern lights photography to help you get the most out of your tour.  You will also learn how to find the northern lights activities from weather, cloud and magnetic field activity reports from satellites and magnetic sensors available over the Internet.

If you do not have a tripod with you please alert your guide to this during the photo briefing so that a loan tripod can be arranged. A good tripod is an essential accessory for this mission.

12:30  Afternoon Photo session. Departure from Reykjavik to a suitable location for photography depending on weather and other conditions.  We look for winter landscape, good twilight opportunities and icing lava caves.

19:00  Dinner , photo review, update on cloud forecast and magnetic activity in the sky.

21:00  Evening Photo Session. Departure to a suitable location for northern lights photography.

Arrival back in Reykjavik around midnight.

Tour includes meals and non alcoholic beverages.
